Tulsa Tea party Founder Endorsements for the July 27th GOP Primary!

Tulsa Tea Party

I have been asked numerous times for a Comprehensive list  of my endorsements in the July 27th GOP Primaries, as the founder of the Tulsa Tea Party.  So, I have put together this list of candidates that,  I believe, best embody the ideals of the  Tea Party Movement. In some of the races,  such as US Congress District 2, there were several quality candidates to choose from. In others, such as the Governor’s Race,  the choice is very clear. If a race is not listed here, it means that, either, I do not know enough about the candidates in the race, or that none of the candidates, in that race, fit the ideals of smaller Government, and opposition to all Federal Government Bailouts of  Private Industry, that the Tea Party Movement was founded upon.

So, here are my endorsements:

Randy Brogdon for Governor of Oklahoma

John Wright for Lt. Governor of Oklahoma

Scott Pruitt for Attorney General

Nathan Dahm for US House OK District 1

Dan Arnett for US House OK District 2

RJ Harris for US House OK District 4

James Lankford for US House OK District 5

David Mclain for Oklahoma Senate District 10

Tim Coager for Oklahoma Senate District 34

David Tackett for Wagoner County Commissioner District 1

Ken Yazel for Tulsa County Tax Assessor

Drew Rees for Tulsa County Commissioner District 3

Rick Brinkley’s Parents Violated Campaign Contribution Rules!!

Came across some interesting information, while checking campaign donation records, this week.

According to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission website

13. What are the maximum contribution limits?

A family may give a maximum of $5,000 to a state candidate committee for an entire campaign and $5,000 annually to a person, committee or party supporting or opposing candidates. A family is defined as an individual, his or her spouse, if any, and all children under the age of eighteen (18) years residing in the same household. Corporations and labor organizations are prohibited from contributing to any committee supporting or opposing candidates. Other business entities, without corporations as owners, may contribute if they have no corporate owners, but the percentage ownership amount of the contribution is applied to the owner’s family limit. Under the Rules, a political party may give up to $50,000 to its gubernatorial candidate and up to $25,000 to any other statewide candidate; however, statutes set the limit from a party at $5,000. Exceeding this amount would constitute a criminal violation. There are no limits on contributions from a person, corporation, or labor organization to committees supporting or opposing ballot measures.

However, Mr. Brinkley’s parents, Don and Carolyn Brinkley, each gave a contribution of $5000 to his campaign, for a total of $10000. This is a clear violation of the Campaign Finance laws of Oklahoma.

Rick Brinkley Donations Record

When contacted, the ethics commission said that this isn’t a “big enough” race for them to bother doing anything about it. I find that response appalling! I’m not sure what else can be done about this, except for Oklahoma Republicans to stand up on July 27th, and vote for RINO Rick. Brinkley’s opponent, Tim Coager, for Oklahoma Senate District 34.

Some Criticize the Tea Party for Allowing Political Candidates to Speak #fb

Tulsa Tea Party
Some say that NO CANDIDATE should be allowed to speak at these get togethers no matter who they are or from what party they belong.
I disagree with the NO CANDIDATE, MANDATE.
If the purpose of the Tea party is to effect REAL Change, by peaceful means, then we must publicly invite to speak, and listen to local candidates that meet the criteria, and have proven track records of living by, the Tea party ideals.
It is beyond frustrating, to me, to have people who have not helped, nor volunteered to help, organize these rallies, sit back and complain about how they are done.
The point is to get the message across, and to allow for We the People, to hear from candidates who are striving to make a real difference.
If we don’t, we might as well be “he who beateth the air”, that the Bible speaks about!
Come ON people! It is time to throw off wishful thinking, and GET INVOLVED!! If you are not registered with one of the two major parties, then you are cutting off your own hands! If you don’t vote in the primaries, then SHUT UP about the choices we have in the General Election!
Now, if that pisses you off, so be it! You still need  to do it, or the whole experiment in Freedom and Liberty, that is America, is finished!

Nathan Dahm Receives Official Endorsement of the Tulsa Tea Party Founder!

Washington DC - Capitol Hill: United States Ca...

Nathan Dahm, a Republican Candidate for Oklahoma‘s first Congressional District, is a strong Liberty candidate, and has received my endorsement.

Nathan is running against the incumbent, and TARP voter,  John Sullivan, for the GOP nomination for US Congress.

Nathan’s credentials as a Liberty/ Tea Party Candidate, include his statement on the issues facing America.

There are 3 main issues confronting America today: money, power, and morality.

1. Our federal government is spending us into oblivion and digging a hole that the next 4 generations combined won’t be able to dig us out of. Simply put, we MUST get rid of the fiscal insanity currently running amock in D.C. and return to common sense fiscal responsibility.

2. Those in power have proven that they will do anything to remain in power- including breaking the law and violating the Constitution. It is time for a new generation of strong leaders to take the reigns. Men and women who are strong enough to say “NO” to the temptations of power, and return the power and control to the people.

3. There was a day in America when a man’s word was as good as gold. When children obeyed their parents. When ingenuity and creativity brought about some of the world’s greatest inventions. But we have allowed ourselves to become caloused, to tollerate government interference in our lives, businesses, homes, educations, and churches. And as our churches go, so goes the nation. It is time for our ministers to stand up and boldly proclaim that “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Nathan is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment.

Many people claim that the 2nd amendment only applies to the government’s right to maintain our military. But there are several sections within the Constitution that deal with the military; and the 2nd amendment and Bill of Rights were requested by the people AFTER the Constitution was written to further limit the federal government’s powers. Also, it specifically states that a militia is necessary to the security of a free state- not the security of the federal government.

Nathan is also a very strong advocate for States’ Rights

Amendments 9 and 10 of the Bill of Rights, plainly state that the federal government only has a few listed powers, with all others belonging to the states and the people. Ask yourself if you truly believe that career politicians and bureaucrats in D.C. can do a better job of running your life than you can. Does anyone really think this is so? Unfortunately most in D.C. believe it to be true. I believe that the people of Oklahoma know what is best for Oklahoma, and they should decide, not Congress.

And, he believes strongly in Personal Privacy, and Liberty

The Founders went to great lengths to make sure our rights to privacy and liberty were protected. They had just experienced the effects of a repressive regime: being forced to house enemy soldiers in their homes; soldiers searching through their papers and personal items without any just cause; sailors being kidnapped and forced to serve in the King’s Navy; and the list goes on. Of all the powers listed in the Constitution, only the powers granted to maintain a military and protect our shores concern the government protecting us.

His positions on these issues, coupled with the Official endorsement of OCPAC, have earned Nathan Dahm, the official endorsement of The Founder of the Tulsa Tea Party.

Fried Chicken Dinner is Racist!?!?

The Oklahoma Legislative Black Caucus, has issued a statement criticizing State Senator, and Republican Gubernatorial Candidate, Randy Brogdon, for a statement he made this week, in debate over the Oklahoma Freedom of Healthcare Choice Act.

Brogdon made the argument, on Tuesday, that the Federal Government

“has no more authority to tell Oklahomans where to buy health insurance than it does to tell them where to buy a fried chicken dinner.”

Democrat Senator Tom Adelson, questioned Brogdon’s use of fried chicken dinner, to which Brogdon replied that is what he had eaten for lunch. However, the Democrats in the State Senate, and particularly, the Legislative Black Caucus, took exception to Brogdon’s statement, claiming that he was making a racial reference to President Obama.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! They are going to try to use a statement about Federal Government overreach, and turn it into a racial argument?! I am sick and tired of the “PC Police” trying to make everything about race.

The real question is, why are they trying to change the focus of the debate? Is it because, as usual, Senator Brogdon has the Constitutional “high ground” in this debate? Or, is it because the Democrats realize something, that the Republicans are only beginning to understand?

The real threat to the Democrat Party in the Governor’s race, is not Mary Fallin, whom they have been attacking on her “stimulus hypocrisy”, and dividing time between her job as Congresswoman and running for Governor. The real threat, is Randy Brogdon, who continues to gain support, aand climb in the polls, while Mary Fallin, and the 2 Democrat Candidates, Drew Edmondson, and Jeri Askins, continue to slide against him, despite much greater statewide name recognition.

The truth is, both the Democrats, and the “status quo” within the Republican Party Establishment, fear Brogdon’s popularity within the Tea Party Movement, and in Constitutional and Libertarian circles.

That is why the Democrats have started attacking him, and the Oklahoma State GOP is nowhere to be found in this bit of low-brow, racial politics!

DON”T FEED THE BEAST!!! Libertarians, conservatives, anarchists unite against the government NOW! Get your forms Monday, change withholding! Notax! If they don’t have our money to play with, maybe then, they’ll listen!

Second, as repugnant as it sounds to some,

We all have to go register as Repugs…err Republicans, and vote in the primaries, so we can get candidates with backbones elected, in order to repeal this atrocity! Democrats won’t do it! Most of the incumbents don’t have the GUTS! Whether you are an Independent, a Libertarian, Constitution Party, Conservative Party, or any other, you don’t have enough CONCENTRATED POWER to pull this off!

WE CAN TAKE OVER THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, AND BRING IT BACK TO IT’S ROOTS OF LIMITED GOVERNMENT!

Oklahoma, download voter registration to fill out today, stick it in the mail tomorrow.
