Came across some interesting information, while checking campaign donation records, this week.

According to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission website

13. What are the maximum contribution limits?

A family may give a maximum of $5,000 to a state candidate committee for an entire campaign and $5,000 annually to a person, committee or party supporting or opposing candidates. A family is defined as an individual, his or her spouse, if any, and all children under the age of eighteen (18) years residing in the same household. Corporations and labor organizations are prohibited from contributing to any committee supporting or opposing candidates. Other business entities, without corporations as owners, may contribute if they have no corporate owners, but the percentage ownership amount of the contribution is applied to the owner’s family limit. Under the Rules, a political party may give up to $50,000 to its gubernatorial candidate and up to $25,000 to any other statewide candidate; however, statutes set the limit from a party at $5,000. Exceeding this amount would constitute a criminal violation. There are no limits on contributions from a person, corporation, or labor organization to committees supporting or opposing ballot measures.

However, Mr. Brinkley’s parents, Don and Carolyn Brinkley, each gave a contribution of $5000 to his campaign, for a total of $10000. This is a clear violation of the Campaign Finance laws of Oklahoma.

Rick Brinkley Donations Record

When contacted, the ethics commission said that this isn’t a “big enough” race for them to bother doing anything about it. I find that response appalling! I’m not sure what else can be done about this, except for Oklahoma Republicans to stand up on July 27th, and vote for RINO Rick. Brinkley’s opponent, Tim Coager, for Oklahoma Senate District 34.

HB3220, by Benge/Tibbs/Lamons/Hickman, of the House and Bingman of the Senate, is to establish yet another toll road on I-44 in Tulsa.

Just what we DON’T need! Looks like State Speaker of the House Chris Benge is showing his “Tax & Spend” stripes again! Why am I not surprised. With a Conservative Index Rating from OCPAC, of less than 60%, Benge has proven to be the very definition of a RINO.

Sue Tibbs, is also starting to demonstrate an alarming tendency to go against Liberty legislation, as evidenced by her initially blocking, and then watering down the Open Carry bill.

We need to let these 2, along with everyone on the Senate Transportation Commmittee, that We The People, are opposed to this legislation!

Calls needed to the Transportation committee: Senate toll free: 1-800-865-6490.

Here is the actual wording of the offending legislation.

(35)  A new turnpike or any parts thereof beginning at Interstate 44 at or near its intersection with 49th West Avenue, past State Highway 64/412, turning northeasterly, crossing 41st West Avenue, and continuing eastward to the L.L. Tisdale Expressway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
