We all have to go register as Repugs…err Republicans, and vote in the primaries, so we can get candidates with backbones elected, in order to repeal this atrocity! Democrats won’t do it! Most of the incumbents don’t have the GUTS! Whether you are an Independent, a Libertarian, Constitution Party, Conservative Party, or any other, you don’t have enough CONCENTRATED POWER to pull this off!

WE CAN TAKE OVER THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, AND BRING IT BACK TO IT’S ROOTS OF LIMITED GOVERNMENT!

Oklahoma GOP Primary Poll Update – 2/24/2010

It’s time for the daily update on this week’s Oklahoma GOP Primary Polls! Remember, these polls close at Midnight on Friday February 26.

In the bid for the GOP Nomination for Governor of Oklahoma, State Senator Randy Brogdon with 83%, continues to hold a decisive lead over Mary Fallin with 14%. Only 3% Undecided, and 2% choosing Other.

The Lt. Governor‘s Race is also fairly one-sided. State Rep John Wright has 50%, his opponent, State Senator Todd Lamb has 19%, with 27% still Undecided, and 3% choosing Other.

In US Representative OK-1, the Newcomer, Nathan Dahm, 42%, holds a sizeable lead over the Incumbent John Sullivan‘s 27%, with Fran Moghaddam pulling 3%, 19% Undecided, and 6% Other.

The crowded race for US Representative OK-2, is shaping up to be a two man race. Howard Houchen leads with 52%, and Daniel Edmonds has 37%. The rest of the field includes Dan Arnett, with 4%, and Charles Thompson with 1%. 5% Undecided, and <1% chose Other.

And, in another crowded race, Us Representative OK-5, Rick Flanigan leads with 27%, with James Lankford nipping at his heels with 23%, Kevin Calvey has 18%, State Rep Mike Thompson has 7%, and Dr. Johnny Roy 4%. 20% are Undecided in this race, and just 1% want someone else.

So, there you have it, halfway through the 1 week poll, and things are beginning to take shape!

After 2 days of Polling, most of the races seem to be clear cut!

For Governor, State Senator Randy Brogdon is carrying 95% of the vote to US Rep Mary Fallin‘s 5%

For Lt. Governor State Rep John Wright has 77% of the vote, State Senator Todd Lamb has 8%, and 15% are still Undecided

In the race for Oklahoma‘s US House District 1, Nathan Dahm has 61%, Incumbent John Sullivan 11%, 17% say Other, and 11% are Undecided

In the race for Oklahoma’s US House District 2, Howard Houchen has 65%, Daniel Edmonds has 13%, Charles Thompson has 4%, and 17% are Undecided

In the race for Oklahoma’s US House District 5, Rick Flanigan leads with 42%, followed by James Lankford with 38%, Kevin Calvey has 8%, and State Rep Mike Thompson has 8%, and 4% Undecided.

These polls will be open until  Midnight on Friday February 26, so tell everyone to get over here and vote!

Sarah Palin Running for President?

The news came out today that Sarah Palin will NOT seek reelection, and is possibly stepping down, as the Governor of Alaska. This, of course, begs the question, is she running for President in 2012? Not being Governor of Alaska, frees up her time, which allows her to get out and make speeches, and be a rallying point for the Conservative movement. (I can see the Tea Parties lining up now to get her to come speak!) This also allows her to start raising campaign funds, and increasing her, already significant, name recognition. As of right now, she is the only Republican candidate that I see as a potential threat to the Obama campaign. In order to be successful, she needs to sharpen her message, and continue to build her image as a mother, and one of the “regular” people. She needs to make appearances at Tea Party Rallies, and speak out, clearly and succinctly, against things like Cap & Trade, and Universal Healthcare. We need Sarah to be a leader, and to inspire the Conservative Grassroots.

Kathy Taylor’s Decision Creates "Wild West" in the GOP

Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor‘s decision not to seek re-election, has suddenly changed the race for the GOP nomination. Taylor, though unpopular with many Tulsans, was seen as unbeatable, prior to this surprising announcement. Last week, it looked like no one from within the GOP wanted challenge her, and her “Million Dollar War Chest”. Now, with her out of the race, it looks like every, “I’m retired from politics“, “my wife couldn’t put up with another run”, I’m happy where I am” Republican inside the city limits, is suddenly chomping at the bit, to be Mayor!

City Councilor Bill Christiansen said “I’m strongly considering it and very likely to run for mayor.”

“I’ve been interested,” said Jim Williamson, a Republican and former state senator. “I wasn’t going to run against (Taylor), but I may look at it now.”

Republicans who were reticent to challenge Taylor, now seem almost eager to throw their hats into the ring. Besides Christiansen and Williamson, City Councilors G.T. Bynum, Rick Westcott and Bill Martinson and former City Councilors Dewey Bartlett Jr. and Chris Medlock all say they will at least consider the race. Even former City Councilor Susan Neal and former Mayor Bill LaFortune are more cautious but didn’t rule out campaigns.

Bynum said he is being encouraged to run by a number of people throughout the community, which has him looking at the possibility.

Westcott said he’s always done what he believes is in the best interest of Tulsa.

“The determining factor for me on this race is whether it is best for the city that I continue to serve as a councilor or mayor,” he said. “I haven’t yet figured that out.”


Martinson said he isn’t ruling out a bid for the seat, but for now is focusing on getting a city budget approved.

Medlock, an unsuccessful mayoral candidate in 2006, said he owes it to his supporters to consider the race.

“My phone has been ringing off the hook the last 24 hours,” he said. “I’ve had Facebook messages. I’ve had people asking me for yard signs. Out of respect for those people, I have to at least give it consideration.”

And then there is the man who has the Courage of His Convictions, and had already announced he was running, and was willing to take on Taylor’s Big Money backers, Clay Clark.
Clark is a newcomer to the Tulsa political scene, and has been quickly gaining support amongst the “grassroots” and Tea Party crowds, with his message of “Smaller Government = Bigger Wallets” and “The Fight Against Socialism Starts in Tulsa” message. Clark is a two-time SBA Entrepeneur of the Year, due to his work in founding and running Tulsa’s DJ Connections. Clark’s message of common sense and Conservative Values, resonates with the same people who stand strong on Constitutional Principles, and the Christian Values, that our Nation was founded on.

His critics, and opponents, will point to his lack of experience in public office. But look around at the candidates running against him, do we really want more of the same, from the same old candidates? I say it’s time for more Clay Clarks to stand up, and run for major office. Who says you have to start in a low-level post, and work your way through it? That may be the accepted method, but the accepted method is very obviously BROKEN! What we do NOT need is more career politicians, looking for the next step up the ladder of politics.

Only two of these candidates have shown ANY support for the Tulsa Tea Party Movement, Chris Medlock, who spoke at the Tax Day Tea Party, and attended the first Tea Party on Feb 27, 2009, and Clay Clark, who attended the Tax Day Tea Party, and was inspired by that event to declare himself in for the Tulsa Mayoral Race, and will speak at the Flag Day Rally ‘Round The Flag Tea Party on June 13th, 2009.

We can win this, and show all of the established politicians that we mean business! As of the writing of this Blog, Chris Medlock was leading in all three polls, with Clay Clark 2nd in 2 out of 3, and City Councilman Bill Christiansen garenering the 3rd most votes. Conservative politics have the lead, and Tulsa would be well served by either Medlock, or Clark. However, my pick for the GOP nomination is Clay Clark, because he will bring a new, fresh perspective to running Tulsa!

It’s time that “We the People” became part of the process again, instead of just sitting on the sidelines, and watching the same group of people make the decisions for us! Get out there and VOTE FOR CLAY CLARK! Starting today in the surveys and polls placed on http://www.krmg.com and http://www.1170kfaq.com/patcampbell and on this page. Then at the primaries in September, and the Election in November!

Tea Party Action Idea

I have been brainstorming some action ideas for the Tea Party Movement. I know pe.ople have been talking about a March on Washington, DC. Well, I think this is a great idea, but it needs to be organized in a manner similar to the Million Man March. The Nation of Islam planned it MONTHS in advance, and gathered up donations, and chartered buses to take people to the march.

I think that’s what we need to do for the Tea Party Movement! We should plan a massive gathering in Washington, DC on April 15, 2010. We should meet, and use the We Surround Them ideaology of the Glenn Beck 9-12 Project. We should literally SURROUND them, and then March in as a whole, slowly tightening the loop, until we all meet in the middle at the Washington Monument Plaza!

The Tulsa Tea Party (www.tulsateaparty.org) is already starting to raise funds with an eye towards paying for the use of charter buses to take as many people as possible. If enough Tea Party Groups throughout the country will do likewise, we could converge on the Capitol with several million people, and make our message known!

I know that it is difficult to get so many people to travel, but that is why we should start raising funds now, to charter the buses. If the transportation is already provided, many people will get “on board!”

The Tax Day Tea Parties, that were held on April 15, 2009, were a great success, but that was not the end of it! The problems of overtaxation, and out of control Government spending, have not all just gone away, because we got together and shouted about it! The beauracracy that runs Washington is still there, grabbing power for themselves, and ignoring “We the People”! We have to keep the pressure on! Keep having Tea Parties, keep talking to people about it, remain vigilant, because that’s what it is going to take!

Tulsa Flag Day Tea Party- The History of Flag Day


Flag Day is a Patriotic Holiday celebrated each year on June 14th. Other than that, most people don’t have any idea what it is. In fact, most people forget that there even is such a day, until it’s mentioned. So, let me take this opportunity the information I found on the History of Flag Day

The Fourth of July was traditionally celebrated as America’s birthday, but the idea of an annual day specifically celebrating the Flag is believed to have first originated in 1885. BJ Cigrand, a schoolteacher, arranged for the pupils in the Fredonia, Wisconsin Public School, District 6, to observe June 14 (the 108th anniversary of the official adoption of The Stars and Stripes) as ‘Flag Birthday’. In numerous magazines and newspaper articles and public addresses over the following years, Cigrand continued to enthusiastically advocate the observance of June 14 as ‘Flag Birthday’, or ‘Flag Day’.

On June 14, 1889, George Balch, a kindergarten teacher in New York City, planned appropriate ceremonies for the children of his school, and his idea of observing Flag Day was later adopted by the State Board of Education of New York. On June 14, 1891, the Betsy Ross House in Philadelphia held a Flag Day celebration, and on June 14 of the following year, the New York Society of the Sons of the Revolution, celebrated Flag Day.

Following the suggestion of Colonel J Granville Leach (at the time historian of the Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the Revolution), the Pennsylvania Society of Colonial Dames of America on April 25, 1893 adopted a resolution requesting the mayor of Philadelphia and all others in authority and all private citizens to display the Flag on June 14th. Leach went on to recommend that thereafter the day be known as ‘Flag Day’, and on that day, school children be assembled for appropriate exercises, with each child being given a small Flag.

Two weeks later on May 8th, the Board of Managers of the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution unanimously endorsed the action of the Pennsylvania Society of Colonial Dames. As a result of the resolution, Dr. Edward Brooks, then Superintendent of Public Schools of Philadelphia, directed that Flag Day exercises be held on June 14, 1893 in Independence Square. School children were assembled, each carrying a small Flag, and patriotic songs were sung and addresses delivered.

In 1894, the governor of New York directed that on June 14 the Flag be displayed on all public buildings. With BJ Cigrand and Leroy Van Horn as the moving spirits, the Illinois organization, known as the American Flag Day Association, was organized for the purpose of promoting the holding of Flag Day exercises. On June 14th, 1894, under the auspices of this association, the first general public school children’s celebration of Flag Day in Chicago was held in Douglas, Garfield, Humboldt, Lincoln, and Washington Parks, with more than 300,000 children participating.

Adults, too, participated in patriotic programs. Franklin K. Lane, Secretary of the Interior, delivered a 1914 Flag Day address in which he repeated words he said the flag had spoken to him that morning: “I am what you make me; nothing more. I swing before your eyes as a bright gleam of color, a symbol of yourself.”

Inspired by these three decades of state and local celebrations, Flag Day – the anniversary of the Flag Resolution of 1777 – was officially established by the Proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson on May 30th, 1916. While Flag Day was celebrated in various communities for years after Wilson’s proclamation, it was not until August 3rd, 1949, that President Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14th of each year asNational Flag Day.

This year, Flag Day is going to be a little different in Tulsa! On June 13th, (I know, that’s the day before Flag Day, but Flag Day is on Sunday) the Tulsa Tea Party will be holding a Flag Day Tea Party Rally at Johnson Park, 61st & Riverside, from 3pm-5pm. Entertainment, Patriotic Speeches, Costume & Sign making contests, and much more!

So bring the family, and clebrate the symbol of American Freedom, that just seeing it waving over that old fort made Francis Scott Key’s heart fill with such pride, that he penned the, now famous, words of our National Anthem….
Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,

Strong Conservative Candidates for Office

I am trying to compile a list of Strong Conservative candidates running for office throughout the country. I have added some that I know about to the Widget above.

If you know of any, please leave the info in the comments, including their website, and the name of their opponent for the office they are running for. If they are running against a RINO, or “Mushy Moderate”, please add that in the comments as well!
I will add those to the survey on this page!

We need to put the support of the Tea Party behind as many Strong Conservative Candidates as we can.

What is Directive 51?

The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive (National Security Presidential Directive NSPD 51/Homeland Security Presidential Directive HSPD-20, sometimes called simply “Executive Directive 51” for short), created and signed by United States President George W. Bush on May 4, 2007, is a Presidential Directive which claims power to execute procedures for continuity of the federal government in the event of a “catastrophic emergency”. Such an emergency is construed as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions.” [1]



Let’s examine this. First of all, this is a “Presidential Directive”

Presidential directives are a form of executive order issued by the President of the United States with the advice and consent of the National Security Council. As a form of executive order, a presidential directive has the “full force and effect of law.


This means that the President of the United States, is Legislating, from the Oval Office. This is a violation of the enumerated powers of the Executive branch as listed in the Constitution. This also circumvents the Legislative branch, (Congress) in making laws. This is very troublesome if you believe in the Constitution, and the Rights granted by it to the people!

Second, the language of the order allows for these powers to be implemented in any emergency “regardless of location” (does that mean outside of our borders?) that results in “extraordinary levels” of casualties, damage. or disruption (who defines “extraordinary levels”?) that severely affect the poplulation, infrastructure, environment, economy (a recession could cause this to be implemented!?), or Government functions(so, any protest that inconveniences the Gov?).

This “Presidential Directive” goes on to state,

when the president considers an emergency to have occurred, an “Enduring Constitutional Government” comprising “a cooperative effort among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the Federal Government, coordinated by the President,” will take the place of the nation’s regular government, presumably without the oversight of Congress.

Hmmmmm….so, if the President considers an emergency to have occurred, he can implement a NEW Constitution that basically by-passes Congress?

Also, The directive, created by the president, claims that the president has the power to declare a catastrophic emergency. It does not specify who has the power to declare the emergency over!

Has President Bush unknowingly, (or knowingly) put into place the tools for a future President to seize control of the Federal Government, and basically declare them self, Dictator?

Worse yet,

The signing of this Directive was generally not covered by the mainstream U.S. media or discussed by the U.S. Congress. While similar executive security directives have been issued by previous presidents, with their texts kept secret, this is the first to be made public in part. It is unclear how the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive will reconcile with the National Emergencies Act, a U.S. federal law passed in 1976, which gives Congress oversight over presidential emergency powers during such emergencies. The National Emergencies Act is not mentioned in the text of the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive.

So, this “Presidential Directive” countermands federal law passed in 1976, and the MSM, has been ignoring it, and not reported, and Congress, for the most part, has just laid down!!

So far, only a few members of Congress have even bothered to raise any concerns! It seems that only Congressman DeFazio, a Democrat, and a couple of others, have bothered to question the ramifications of this directive, and asked to see the Classified parts of the directive! So far, he has been rebuffed!

After receiving concerned communications from constituents, in July 2007 U.S. Representative and Homeland Security Committee member Peter DeFazio made an official request to examine the classified Continuity Annexes described above in a secure “bubbleroom” in the United States Capitol, but his request was denied by the White House, which cited “national security concerns.”[8] This was the first time DeFazio has been denied access to documents. He was quoted as saying, “We’re talking about the continuity of the government of the United States of America…I would think that would be relevant to any member of Congress, let alone a member of the Homeland Security Committee.”[8] After this denial, DeFazio joined with two colleagues (Bennie Thompson, chairman of the committee; and Chris Carney, chairman of the Homeland Security oversight subcommittee) in a renewed effort to gain access to the documents.

This is alarming to me! That not only did President Bush issue this order, but seemingly noone, has even bothered to question it! If I had not been researching into the rex 84 FEMA plans, I never would have heard of this! We need to get the word out on this, and get it stricken from the laws, before it is used, and abused to end the last vestiges of Freedom that America has left!

As Thomas Paine wrote in December of 1776,

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated. Britain, with an army to enforce her tyranny, has declared that she has a right (not only to TAX) but “to BIND us in ALL CASES WHATSOEVER” and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. Even the expression is impious; for so unlimited a power can belong only to God.

Well, it’s not Britain trying to take our Freedoms, and enslave us, this time, but our own Federal Government, whom the Constitution was written to protect us from, that are in the process of circumventing, and making impotent, that very Constitution! If we do not wake up, and pay attention, one day we’ll wake up, and it will be too late! It is time to do something about the runaway Government, and not keep burying our heads, and saying ” all politicians are crooked, what can we do about it?” We CAN and MUST change the parties, and the processes, and remove the “career politicians” before they make the “de facto” oligarchy we have now, into an official one! Everyone needs to take an active role, get involved in your local party, find out who these people are, and what they believe in and if you don’t like it, replace them with someone who is committed to the ideals of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. If we don’t do it now, our hands will be forced.
