Tulsa Tea party Founder Endorsements for the July 27th GOP Primary!

Tulsa Tea Party

I have been asked numerous times for a Comprehensive list  of my endorsements in the July 27th GOP Primaries, as the founder of the Tulsa Tea Party.  So, I have put together this list of candidates that,  I believe, best embody the ideals of the  Tea Party Movement. In some of the races,  such as US Congress District 2, there were several quality candidates to choose from. In others, such as the Governor’s Race,  the choice is very clear. If a race is not listed here, it means that, either, I do not know enough about the candidates in the race, or that none of the candidates, in that race, fit the ideals of smaller Government, and opposition to all Federal Government Bailouts of  Private Industry, that the Tea Party Movement was founded upon.

So, here are my endorsements:

Randy Brogdon for Governor of Oklahoma

John Wright for Lt. Governor of Oklahoma

Scott Pruitt for Attorney General

Nathan Dahm for US House OK District 1

Dan Arnett for US House OK District 2

RJ Harris for US House OK District 4

James Lankford for US House OK District 5

David Mclain for Oklahoma Senate District 10

Tim Coager for Oklahoma Senate District 34

David Tackett for Wagoner County Commissioner District 1

Ken Yazel for Tulsa County Tax Assessor

Drew Rees for Tulsa County Commissioner District 3

Nathan Dahm for US Congress Oklahoma District 1

This is Nathan Dahm’s Commercial in the Oklahoma 1st Congressional District Primary Race!

Who Is Your Pick for the Oklahoma US Congress District 1 GOP Primary?

************************************************UPDATE******************************************************

Final Results of the Poll:

Total votes Cast: 211

Nathan Dahm: 101

Patrick Haworth: 59

John Sullivan: 36

Kenneth Rice: 14

Fran Moghaddam: 1

Again, this poll had some issues, because I forgot to block both Cookies an IP addresses from Repeat voting, when I first released it. This led to one candidates camp figuring that out, and gaming the system, so that their numbers were increasing at a rate of approximately 20 votes per minute. So, I deleted that poll, and recreated it. Following that, the poll moved at a more normal rate. So, these numbers ARE representative of the readers of this blog, and those whom I reach through Twitter and Facebook.

These numbers, actually, are fairly similar to most of the Straw Polls that have been run in District 1 in the last 3 months, with one exception. While Nathan Dahm continues to gain steam, and John Sullivan continues to lose ground, Sullivan’s decline is accelerating,  and a 2nd candidate has passed him. Patrick Haworth is starting to make noise, and it looks like this race may come down to the 2 newcomers, with the RINO Bailout voter John Sullivan being the odd man out. Also, as I have said before, both Kenneth Rice and Fran Moghaddam, are non-factors in this race!

*******************************************************************************************************************

Because of the Questionable way in which the numbers were moving in the previous poll, I have deleted it, and started over!

Results of Monday’s Tulsa Straw Poll

As sent to me by Harold Vermillion of http://www.OkforTea.com

So, we all think that Kris messed up on the numbers but the following is what she said and we have it all on tape. She also failed to tell the results of a few of the votes. And any missing percentages is appearently undecided votes.

Drew Reese 45%
Michael Masters .01%

TULSA COUNTY TREASURER
Dennis Semler 18%
Ruth Hartje 47%

These numbers show a continually growing strength for the Tea Party and Liberty Candidates, and a downwardly spiraling trend for the incumbents who voted for TARP bailout program. It is beginning to look like Randy Brogdon will easily carry the Tulsa area in the July 27th Primary, as his Primary opponent Mary Fallin has been lost even more ground, since the February Tulsa County GOP Straw Poll!

Also, Representative John Sullivan (who also voted Yes on the TARP Bailout), of Congressional District 1, has lost his 2 to 1 advantage over Challenger Nathan Dahm. They are now in an apparent Dead Heat, with nearly 3 weeks to go.

However, the real surprise for me, is the State Senate District 34 race, which is the seat Randy Brogdon is vacating. Well-known President of the Republican Club, Rick Brinkley is in a virtual dead-heat with unknown Tim Coager. This looks like another case of Tea Party vs Establishment, and superior name recognition is not enough to carry the tide over the populist movement that is the Tea Party.

Another surprise is the Lt Governor’s race, where, despite running an almost completely underground campaign, State Rep john Wright, has a slight lead over the Establishment choice, Todd Lamb.

Well, that’s my take on the latest polling numbers. What do you think? It’s going to be a very interesting Primary season for the GOP in Oklahoma, that’s for sure!

Tulsa Tea Party Founder Endorses Nathan Dahm For US Congress Ok District 1

Tulsa Tea Party founder, Jai Blevins, today announces his endorsement of Nathan Dahm in the GOP Primary for Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District.

Mr. Dahm has set himself apart from the other candidates, including incumbent John Sullivan, though his Oath to Oklahoma, a pledge that includes commitments to a self-imposed term limit, refusal of Congressional perks, working to protect the 2nd Amendment, and working to Audit, and end, the Federal Reserve. He believes in, and stands for the ideals of the Tea Party, and is the candidate for the Tulsa Tea party.

I urge everyone to visit his website, and read his positions on the issues affecting America, and I believe that you will agree.

Final Results of GOP Primary Polls!

The Polls have closed and the results are tabulated! Without further ado, here are the results!

Who Is Your Pick For the GOP Nomination for Governor?

Randy Brogdon 69%

Mary Fallin 22%

Other 3%

Undecided 6%

This is obviously then race that everyone is looking at, all over the State of Oklahoma. It’s interesting to me, that this poll mirrors the Tulsa County GOP Straw Poll from a couple of weeks ago, yet seems to be the exact opposite of the polls being printed by the Tulsa World. I truly believe that these polls indicate a very strong Grassroots Movement behind Senator Brogdon, that is growing, and will lead to a win for him.

Who Is your Choice For the GOP Nomination for Lt. Governor?

State Rep John Wright 42%

State Sen Todd Lamb 22%

Other 2%

Undecided 34%

In comparison to the Straw Poll from a couple weeks ago, it looks like John Wright is starting to build momentum, and slowly pulling away from Todd Lamb. The interesting part of this, is the fact that Wright has not yet started to really campaign, and has raised very little money. It seems, that the Grassroots understand that these races are between true Conservatives, and the establishment within the Oklahoma GOP, and they are rejecting the establishment.

Who Is Your Choice For the GOP Nomination in OK District 1?

Nathan Dahm 54%

John Sullivan 25%

Fran Moghaddam 2%

Undecided 15%

Just 2 weeks ago, John Sullivan was leading this race by an almost identical margin. However, many did not realize they had an option when that poll was run. Now, as Nathan Dahm has begun to do the things to get his name out, his support is growing. Many within the Tea Party Movement have said that a TARP vote should have been career ending, and it looks like the Grassroots voters in District 1, would agree!

Who Is Your Choice for the GOP Nomination for OK District 2?

Howard Houchen 44%

Daniel Edmonds 12%

Dan Arnett 40%

Charles Thompson 1%

Other 1%

Undecided 3%

This race is intriguing to me. We have several strong candidates for the nomination, but no “big names”, as many believe that the Democrat Dan Boren, is too strong. However, the candidates who are running for the District 2 GOP nomination, are very strong, and seem to have a swell of support amongst the Grassroots, as this was the poll that pulled in the most votes, by far!  Currently, Howard Houchen seems to be the front runner, but this race is VERY close. Dan Arnett is mounting a strong challenge, and Daniel Edmond has a lot of support, as well.

Who Is Your Choice for the GOP Nomination in OK District 5?

James Lankford 53%

Kevin Calvey 3%

Dr. Johnny Roy 1%

Rick Flanigan 13%

State Rep. Mike Thompson 26%

Other <1%

Undecided 3%

This race for Mary Fallin’s seat was VERY close, until the last day, with James Lankford and Rick Flanigan running neck and neck. On the last day Lankford pulled away, and State Rep Mike Thompson finally mounted a challenge. I believe that, based on his name recognition in circles outside of politics, James Lankford will win this nomination.

As far as, what these numbers mean, well, I will give you my opinion after the poll closes. For now, draw your own conclusions, because I have posted links to this poll on every GOP Page I can find. I have tweeted it directly to several of these candidates, including those that I am NOT a fan of (Mary Fallin and John Sullivan). So, like I said, draw your own conclusions as to the value of these polls!
